Our Activities
At Gyanpreet Charitable Trust, we focus on education, healthcare, skill development, and infrastructure improvement to uplift individuals and families from underserved communities. Here’s a deeper look at the various initiatives we have undertaken:
🎓 Education Sponsorship & Support
Education is the most powerful tool to break the cycle of poverty. We identify children and young adults from low-income households and provide:
- Full or partial sponsorships for school and college education
- Course materials, uniforms, and exam fees
- Mentorship and counseling support
✅ Success Stories:
- Sneha, supported since age 8, completed hotel management and is now working in the hospitality industry.
- Pooja, daughter of a washerman, completed her MBBS with Gyanpreet’s help in buying textbooks and medical tools.
🛠️ Vocational Training & Career Guidance
For students who struggle in mainstream education or come from backgrounds with limited formal schooling, we offer:
- Counseling to identify strengths and interests
- Guidance toward vocational or skill-based careers
- Financial support for vocational training programs
Example:
- Vridhi, a child with learning difficulties, was counseled to pursue vocational training suited to her abilities. Although her mother declined, our attempt demonstrated our commitment to practical and personalized support.
🩺 Healthcare & Medical Camps
Access to quality healthcare is still a luxury for many. Gyanpreet Trust has:
- Organized medical camps in underserved areas like Tunkibanda Tanda (Amangal Taluk, Srisailam highway)
- Identified and referred cases including 30+ cataract patients and a boy with a congenital heart defect
- Distributed medicines to children and adults in collaboration with pharmaceutical partners
- Provided medical financial assistance to elderly individuals and low-income families
These camps were fully funded by the Trust and supported by community partners like the Inner Wheel Club.
💧 School Infrastructure & Sanitation
Gyanpreet Charitable Trust has worked closely with government schools in tribal and rural areas to improve basic facilities:
- Repaired and revived borewells to provide clean drinking water
- Built a new water tank to make government-constructed toilets usable
- Working on building a compound wall at a school next to a highway to keep young children safe and engaged
We are also seeking donations of educational aids and play equipment to encourage school attendance.
🧺 Family Rehabilitation & Emergency Aid
We step in during emergencies that threaten the education or wellbeing of children. For instance:
- During the COVID-19 pandemic, we sponsored school fees for two children whose father, Parvathalu, a watchman, was seriously ill and unable to work.
- When Prem Singh, a low-paid worker in the police department, considered pulling his son out of school, we counseled and financed his continued education.
Such timely interventions prevent children from becoming dropouts and help families find stability.
